Professor Dr.Babak Babapour 

Professor Dr Babak Babapour completed his neurosurgical residency at the Medical School of Hannover, Germany, under direct supervision of Prof.Dr. Majid Samii from 1994 to 2001. Right after completion of his residency, Prof. Samii recruited him as Senior Assistant Medical Director at the neurosurgical department of Medical School of Hannover. In 2002, he completed his Professorship thesis entitled “Intrauterinary Diagnostic and Therapy Consideration of Hydrocephalus”, thus promoted to Assistant Professor of neurosurgery in 2002 and Associate Professor in 2010.

His expertise is in the field of Skull base and minimal invasive spine surgery (MISS). He has published numerous papers and has been invited as speaker in many national and international conferences. His academic and clinical endeavour has led to 5 national and international awards. His work experiences has been in numerous countries including Germany, Italy, UK, Azerbaijan, Iraq, and Iran.

Currently, he is Associate Professor of neurosurgery from the Medical School of Hannover, Germany and Azad University. Since completion of his speciality, He has performed over 6000 MISS and over 1000 Skull Base surgeries in addition to all general neurosurgical procedures.
